TOMMY LEE Feels 'Lighter' After Becoming A Semi-Vegetarian
July 28, 2008MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee called in to the Kyle and Jackie O. show on 2Day FM in Australia on Thursday (July 24). Lee talked about how he's stopped eating meat for the past couple months — no doubt influenced by ex-wife, PETA activist and his on-again, off-again lover Pamela Anderson. "It's something that I haven't done before," Tommy said, "and you know, I wanna check it out and see what it's like, and I feel lighter... I don't know, it's just different." He admitted going to a barbeque might be a bit weird, but said, "You know, I love pastas, baked potatoes, and this and that. You know, I do eat fish, salmon, and this and that. It's not like I've stopped eating." Download the entire interview as an MP3 file at this location.
CRÜE will perform a free online concert from the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas on Friday, August 1. The live event will be available to anyone with broadband Internet access from DeepRockDrive.com, officially launching a series of partnerships with well-known live venues to present concerts to a global audience through the Web. DISTURBED played a similar type of event in late May for DeepRockDrive.com, which bills itself as "the world's most popular destination for online, interactive concerts."
Each show at the site features interaction between viewers and the artists, with fans having the ability to send messages to the stage, make song requests, choose camera angles and even create digital applause in real time.
MÖTLEY CRÜE will hit the stage at 9:30 p.m. PT.
